If you don’t know how to access your client area, you can find out here.

Once logged in, click on your Domains section

Links to the main sections of the client area.

You should now be at the My Domains page.

The list of domains in the Domains section of the client area.

You should now see the domain management page. One the left hand side of the screen, you will see the Manage menu. Click Renew in the Actions menu to proceed.

You can also select “Renew a Domain” in the “What would you like to do today?” section at the bottom of your screen/

Once again, start by going to the My Domains page.

Select the domain you wish to update by clicking on the row. You can click anywhere on the box, except the domain name (this will take you to the domain’s website).

The Manage menu in the Domains section of the client area.

On the domain management page, you will see Auto Renew in the Manage menu. Here is where you can set the domain to automatically renew. This will cause the system to invoice you for the renewal 30 days before the due date and then renew the domain on the expiry date.

If you want to cancel the auto renewal of your domain, you can toggle it off here as well. You will still be noticed of upcoming expiry dates, but not invoiced automatically. If you plan to cancel your domain, you can find information on that here.

Domain Registration Limits

There are a few restrictions on how long you can register a domain. A domain can only have an expiry date that is, at most, ten years in the future. Only once you have less than nine years remaining, you can add another year.

The date on a domain registration never changes, so even if you have nine years and one day remaining on your registration, you will not be able to add another year.

Even though the limit is ten years, the only time you can renew for ten years is if the domain in currently expired or it is a new domain.

If you wish to renew for nine years, you would need to wait until there is less than one year of registration remaining.
