How To Reset A Forgotten Password

Was my account password 123456 or 12345678? I can’t remember. How can I recover my password?

Overview

These days, almost everything requires a password. So, its no surprise that you may not remember your passwords for your services. Luckily, there are methods to reset them when necessary.


Updating your Passwords

In order to reset your services passwords, you need to be able to access your client area.

If you don’t know how to access your client area, you can find out here.

If you do not remember the password for your client area, you can use the Forgot Password? link on the login page.

You must then enter your account username, which is the email that we have on file for your account. This will send a password reset email to that address. This is one of the reasons that keeping your account information up to date is so important. If you need to update this information, you can find a guide for that here.

cPanel Reset

If you need to reset your cPanel password, the easiest way to do this is this from within you client area. You can find more information on updating your cPanel password here.

If you don’t know how to access your client area, you can find out here.

You can also do this from the cPanel login page using the Reset Password link. This requires that you know your cPanel username, as well as the email address that the cPanel is set to use. These may be, but are not necessarily the same as your client area email address or password.

If you do not know your cPanel username, you can find it in your client area, but if you are all ready in your client area, it is easier to just update the cPanel password there.

Once you get logged into your cPanel, this would be a good time to ensure that the email address is up to date in there as well.

Manual Update

If you do not have access to the email that we have on file, you will need to contact our support for a manual password reset. Please have your information ready, as well as the last four numbers of the credit card on file (this is used for verification).

Once you have access to your client area again, please update your account contact information to prevent future issues.
