Updating your cPanel Contact Information

Who is sending me all these notifications? How can I update where they are sent to?

Overview

cPanel will send you notification emails when it notices that there are potential issues with your cPanel account. You can choose which emails you receive, and which mailboxes they will be sent to.

Managing your contact information

You can manage the contact information for your cPanel from the Contact Information app, found in the Preferences section

The Preferences section of cPanel.

Once you open the app, you will see several options.

The contact information menu in cPanel.
  • Enter an email address to receive account notifications.
    • this is the main email where notifications will be sent
  • Enter a second email address to receive account notifications.
    • here you can set another email address that will receive these emails (your web developer, for example)
  • An access token for Pushbullet
    • this is for Pushbullet API token, this is outside the scope of this guide
  • Contact Preferences
    • here you can choose which cPanel notification emails you will receive
    • if you are getting unwanted emails from cPanel, you can disable them here.

Be sure to click the Save button once you are done.
