This will allow you to use your domain name for the nameservers instead of our default nameservers. While this is mostly symbolic, it does give your services a greater look of legitimacy. This guide will explain how to do this from your client area. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-dots\" id=\"access\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accessing the Custom Nameservers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>First you will need to log into your <a href=\"https:\/\/manage.christianwebhost.com\/clientarea.php\">client area<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t know how to access your client area, you can find out <a href=\"https:\/\/christianwebhost.com\/support\/customer-account-dashboard\/accessing-your-client-area\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"249\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you are logged in to your client area, click on the <strong>Domains<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"486\" height=\"153\" src=\"https:\/\/christianwebhost.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/ca-blocks-1.png\" alt=\"Links to the main sections of the client area.\" class=\"wp-image-575\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>You should now be at the <strong>My Domains <\/strong>page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"864\" height=\"338\" src=\"https:\/\/christianwebhost.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/ca-domains.png\" alt=\"The list of domains in the Domains section of the client area.\" class=\"wp-image-609\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Select the domain you wish to update by clicking on the row. You must enter the entire nameserver (Ex. ns1.domain.com)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <strong>Save Changes<\/strong> once finished to update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#top\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#top\">Back to Top<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Finishing Touches<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you have your private name servers set up with the registry, you will need to add the A records in your dns zone file. If you are using our cPanel based web hosting, you can find information on updating your records <a href=\"https:\/\/christianwebhost.com\/support\/web-hosting\/cpanel-help-guides\/cpanel-dns-zone-editor\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"283\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are hosted with someone else, you will need to contact them and add the records in there system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>ns1.example.com   IN A &#91;ip address]\nns2.example.com   IN A &#91;ip address]<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>In the above example, we used ns1 and ns2 as the two new name server prefixes, as this is common practice, but you can use whatever you like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IP address will be provided by the host of the zone file.
