Here is a guide on how to use Addon domains.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-dots\" id=\"addondomain\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are Addon Domains<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Addon domains allow you to control multiple domains from a single cPanel account, allowing you to manage all your websites and emails from one place. This also means you do not need to pay for a separate hosting account for each domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<p>How many domains you can manage from your cPanel depends on what package you currently have. Once you click on any of the other fields, they will auto populate with a subdomain of your primary domain and a Document Root for your site files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>New Domain Name<\/strong><ul><li>the domain name that you are adding<\/li><li>Note: Most servers will not let you add the domain unless the nameservers are already pointing to the server name servers<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Subdomain<\/strong><ul><li>the cPanel system creates a subdomain of your primary domain for your Addon domain.<\/li><li>this can be left at it&#8217;s default setting.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>this subdomain is used by the cPanel back end and is required, but you should not need to ever use it.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Document Root<\/strong><ul><li>this is the folder where the website files for this domain will be stored.<\/li><li>you can update this later if required.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you create the Addon domain, the system will create a zone file for the domain with all the default records. If you need to update these records, you can do this from your <a href=\"https:\/\/christianwebhost.com\/support\/2021\/10\/26\/dns-zone-editor\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"283\">Zone Editor<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, an Addon domain&#8217;s public folder will be created as a sub-directory of your primary account&#8217;s&nbsp;public_html&nbsp;(document root) directory. The name of this sub-directory will be the domain name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#top\" data-type=\"internal\" data-id=\"#top\">Back to Top<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-dots\" id=\"modify\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Modify Addon Domain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You will also see a list of all your current Addon domains.
